Avery Lea Rogers is an Austin based singer, pianist, writer, composer, and actress. She graduated with a degree in Theatre in May 2016 from Southwestern University where she remained dedicated to music by taking many music classes including theory and vocal pedagogy, and was a member of the Southwestern University Chorale directed by Dr. Kenny Sheppard all four years. She began piano lessons at the age of 4 and began singing lessons at the age of 12. At Southwestern she took private classical voice lessons with Dr. Dana Zenobi and private classical piano lessons with Dr. Pam Rossman. Apart from being a classically trained singer, she has extensive experience in musical theatre/belt style and has been cast in many musicals such as Luisa in The Fantasticks, Louise in Gypsy, and Heidi in [title of show]. She was a member of the Texas All-State Choir in 2012 and was a NATS Semi-finalist in Spring 2014. She is currently in the early stages of her personal project recording music and performing with her band.
