Out of this World Music School is a local, family owned business dedicated to providing quality music education in a way that inspires a lifetime love of musicianship. Lessons are one-on-one and each class is crafted with the student's specific goals, unique learning style, and music taste in mind. As a school, we believe that students should enjoy the learning process and our instructors use an approach that combines technique, music theory and learning to play along with their favorite songs. Students have the opportunity to get onstage, onscreen or both with our quarterly performances. Owners Michael, Reema, and their son Atlas are grateful for 13 years of sharing music with the community and welcome you to our school!

Notes From Our Staff

  • The piano is a great fundamental instrument but is not a prerequisite. When choosing an instrument: think about the sounds that inspire you, the music you aspire to play, and the space in your home you are willing to dedicate to music.

  • String instruments are often learned at a slower pace and require a great deal of patience and finger dexterity. Students under 7 are encouraged to schedule a trial lesson before enrolling.

  • Practice is essential to progress and students will need an instrument to practice with at home. We recommend setting practice reminders in the app to help keep you on track. Playing music before school has even improved some of our student's grades!

  • When family/caretakers play an active role in their young musician’s learning experience, their confidence soars! A great way to do this is turning practice time into performing time. When acting as the audience, we encourage you to applaud milestones (even the small ones) and offer support during plateau moments.

  • Whether on stage at a Cosmic Concert, recording for a Satellite Showcase, or performing for friends, family, or even your favorite stuffed animals we encourage you to perform, perform, PERFORM!

What Our Community Is Saying

“My daughter has been taking ukulele and guitar lessons. The instruction is clear, personalized, and covers both the technical and theory aspects!

She enjoys it so much I don't have to remind her to practice!

— Shannon M

“My son has been a student for 6 years with Josh M. and my daughter for 2 years with Brooke. They love it! The teachers do an amazing job of catering to each student personality. The owners have a true passion for music and it shows. I’d give them 6 stars if I could. Also, love the live and virtual recitals to give our kids a chance to experience performing to an audience.”

— Danny G

“What a cool school and an amazing set of teachers! My kids have blossomed thanks to Michael and the amazing teachers here and at the other location. They make music fun and ignite a lifelong passion for young people.”

— Kristen H

“We have enjoyed the school a lot! It was a wonderful opportunity for our daughter to continue her lessons after our move from Indiana. Everyone we have encountered has been so personable and knowledgeable. Liz has answered any questions I’ve had and been so pleasant while I’ve waited for my daughter in lessons :) Brooke has been so helpful in maintaining C’s previous musical foundation and encouraging her to continue growing in technical skills. We are grateful!”’

“My kids have been studying here for a year now and I'm so happy with the way their connections to their instruments have deepened. Michael teaches drums to my son, and Josh teaches guitar and piano to my daughter. Their style of teaching communicates all the technical knowledge they need to build alongside the fun of learning the songs that the kids are interested in learning. This includes everything from favorite genres of music, to tv show theme songs, to video game soundtracks! And they understand that sometimes kids' attention spans need to switch gears a lot, so they have a lot of songs in rotation to keep things interesting, and focus on skill building by keeping the material fresh. 100% recommended.”
