“Grab some earplugs, this is not your grandma’s recital!”
-Molly Whiting

The Spring Cosmic Concert is set for Sunday, March 2nd 2025. The concert will be divided into several 90-minute blocks: 12:30-2, 2:30-4, 5-6:30 and 7-8:30. This will be a live, in-person performance and will take place at Hanover’s in Pflugerville. Sign-up will be open for 1 week starting on January 26th and will close on February 1st. Song choice and instrument MUST be declared at the time of sign-up and performances must be 4 minutes or less. Sign-up registration link will be emailed to all eligible students on January 26th at 2 pm. Students must maintain active enrollment from December through March to be eligible to perform. The shows are not divided by age and the earlier shows typically fill first, so young performers are encouraged to get signed up as soon as the window opens.
***Please note that performers MUST remain present for the duration of their concert, no exceptions. Every student deserves a full house applauding their hard work. Concerts are 90 minutes long and are a celebration of music & inspiration. ***

Keep an eye out for the Ukulele Ensemble announcement and other group performance opportunities!

Click here to pre-order a 2025 Spring Cosmic Concert T-shirt. We are accepting t-shirt pre-orders through February 9th. Each shirt will have a list of performers with the song(s) performed on the back and a fun, new design on the front. Shirts will be available in both youth and adult sizes. You may order shirts and reserve your size(s) using the form below. Students are not required to wear their shirts at the concert, they are just a fun piece of memorabilia that helps us cover costs and keep our Cosmic Concerts free for performers and attendees. We will have a few extras at the concert for sale but size/quantity will be limited. Shirts are $30 each; shirts that are pre-ordered by February 9th will receive a $5 discount per shirt.

Attendance is crucial to a student’s success. Please make every effort to attend lessons and please do not cancel due to lack of practice. Students also may request to move their lessons online if they are experiencing transportation difficulties, are feeling unwell, avoiding poor road conditions, or any other reason that would prevent them from making it to the music school. It is better to jump online and keep your momentum going than to cancel altogether.

With winter around the corner, we want to remind everyone that should the roads ice over or become unsafe for our students and staff to drive on, we will move lessons online. If you have not yet, please reply to this email with your Skype ID or log in to your TeacherZone account and add it to your student profile.

We truly thank you for making Out of this Word Music School your destination for music education. From our family to yours, we are so happy to have you with us.

Wishing you good health and all of the happiness in the world,

Michael, Reema, and Atlas Garcia
